Key responsibilities
ScanScout is looking to add a creative interactive designer to the team who will be instrumental in growing ScanScout’s expanding footprint in the online video space.
This is an opportunity to learn from a creative director and also design and produce innovative ad units for major brands as well as design, prototype, develop ideas for our product and create marketing materials. The products of this person’s work will be part of the branding plans for some of the largest brands in the market. This individual must have a desire to make an impact on a company on the leading edge of online media.
You’ll work closely with ScanScout sales and client services teams as well as with the product team to help innovate and carry ScanScout to the top of the group of competitors in this space.
Billions of advertising dollars are being moved from traditional media to the digital space and online video monetization will continue to remain one of the hottest areas on the web. For the right person, this is a unique and well-funded start-up opportunity.
Required Skillset- Minimum 2 years industry experience as a hands-on designer of rich media
- BFA in design
- Creative thinker but able to stay within the confines of what is practical for online video advertising
- Expert knowledge of creative media tools such as Adobe Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc
- Knowledge of Flash 8/9, ActionScript 2.0/3.0 and timeline animation
- Knowledge of Flash Video, sound integration, filters, animations and transitions
- Desire to learn and excel in a fast-pace start-up environment
- US citizenship or permanent resident
- Experience working with ad agencies or corporate marketing department
- Experience in XML, JavaScript, XHTML, and CSS
- Usability-focused design
- Knowledge of video editing tools, like AfterEffects or Final Cut Pro
- Excitement to work on multiple tasks at the same time
- High energy level & excellent people skills
